Flexi production unit – concept

The future laboratory has to be totally flexible and able to respond in a matter of hours to the changing needs of the research community. All furniture and equipment is mobile, all fittings are flexible.

The “Flexi production unite concept”, is a response to the need to change laboratory configurations to satisfy different and increasingly automated research techniques. A flexible approach to services and the use of loose furniture and containment equipment has the benefit, that the scientist is not forced to define the layout prior to design and construction process commencing. The laboratory layout can be agreed later in the project process. All laboratory benches are serviced via flexible sleeves through the ceiling. Wet services and laboratory gases are supplied via flexible hoses, fitted with self-sealing, quick release couplings
